Dear Scouts, Dear Parents and Guardians,
Although we maintained hope for the realization of the great events still foreseen in our business plan (EASA statement from 29.03.2020), it is with great dismay that we inform you that the following activities are canceled:
- Hriaidagriuf 2020
- ACAGRUP 2020
- Celebration of Promises 2020 (to be held after September)
Following the latest measures adopted by the Luxembourg Government and consequently applied by the LGS, EASA is therefore obliged to cancel all of its major activities (raides, camps, celebrations…) by the end of this year scout (lgs.lu press release from 21.04.2020).
The AESA Directorate continues to encourage all of its Sections to conduct distance scouting and to promote different dynamics until the end of the initially planned scouting year (that is,, early July). Like this, we will continue to keep in touch at our weekly video call meetings, looking to provide, as far as possible, more scouting moments of conviviality, training…
We've all missed you, but… Stay Alert, be the first to set an example!
We will be vigilant as the situation evolves and, in time, more information will be transmitted to you regarding the beginning of the next scouting year.
