The EFSA is a local drive LGS-Luxembourg Guides and Scouts, the association of Catholic guides and scouts in Luxembourg, that over 5000 members by country, It is also the largest association of young people in Luxembourg. The Federation of LG (Catholic Luxembourg Girl Guides) It was founded in November 1938 by Mgr. Pierre Posing. The first section of the guides was the Notre-Dame section, Luxembourg Cathedral.

The LS and LG were two youth movements, in which the main objective was education of children and youth. Both working under the concept of Baden-Powell education. He formulated his ideas and methods in the early twentieth century, corresponding to the structure of society of that time, being separated for Boys and Girls, but always maintaining the same ideal and spirit Scout.

Today the structure of the associations has changed. So these two Catholic associations, They are fighting for the same ideal, they decided in 15 from May of 1994 and thus to merge and create a single federation.

  • Internationally the LGS belong to the worldwide movement of Guiding WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, founded in 1928, with its headquarters in London) and the movement of world Scouting WOSM (World Organization of the Scout Movement, founded in 1922, with its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur)
